Effective September 29, 2026Third Eye Cyborg, LLCLast updated September 29, 2026

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for purchases in Ascended Social, which is operated by Third Eye Cyborg, LLC ("we", "us"). It's part of our Terms of Service.

1. What we sell#

Everything we sell is digital:

  • Subscriptions: Mystic and Ascended, billed monthly and renewing automatically until you cancel.
  • Energy packs: one-time purchases of energy, an in-app item used for certain features.

2. Who sells to you and who handles refunds#

Who you buy from depends on where you buy. That company processes your payment and handles refunds under its own rules and applicable law.

Where you boughtWho sold itWho decides refunds
iPhone or iPad appApple (App Store)Apple
Android appGoogle (Google Play)Google (see section 4)
Web or desktop subscriptionWeb subscriptions are sold by Stripe, through Link, as merchant of record (Stripe Managed Payments). Your checkout and receipt say "Sold through Link".Stripe / Link, with review by our team (see section 5)
Web or desktop energy packWeb energy packs are sold by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record. They are never sold through Stripe.Polar, with review by our team (see section 5)

We don't have a separate refund window of our own. Your rights under sections 8 and 9 always apply.

Your purchases are linked to your Ascended account. A plan or energy pack bought on one platform is recognized on the others, but a refund can only be handled by the platform where you paid.

3. iPhone and iPad purchases (Apple)#

Apple sells and processes App Store purchases and decides refunds under its own policies. We can't issue, approve or deny refunds for App Store purchases.

To request a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account you used, choose "Request a refund" and follow the steps. More help: support.apple.com/en-us/118223.

4. Android purchases (Google Play)#

Google sells and processes Google Play purchases under Google Play's refund policies.

  • Within 48 hours of purchase: request a refund from Google Play at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/15574897, or in Google Play go to Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → Report a problem.
  • After Google's 48-hour window: we don't review refund requests unless the law requires it. To use your legal rights (section 8), email us with your Google Play order number (it starts with "GPA."). Where the law requires a refund, we'll issue it through Google Play.
  • Report charges you didn't make to Google, following Google's policy.

5. Web and desktop purchases#

Web subscriptions are sold by Stripe, through Link, as merchant of record (Stripe Managed Payments). Your checkout and receipt say "Sold through Link". Cancel a Stripe subscription in Settings → Subscription or in your Link account at link.com. Web energy packs are sold by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record. They are never sold through Stripe.

Polar web purchases are sold under Polar's Buyer Terms.

To request a refund, reply to your Polar receipt or email [email protected] with your order ID. You can also email us at [email protected]. A member of the Third Eye Cyborg team reviews every refund request for a web or desktop purchase, and Polar processes the refunds that are granted. Polar may also issue refunds under its own terms, for example to resolve a payment dispute.

6. Subscriptions: renewal and cancellation#

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically at the then-current price, charged to the payment method you have with Apple, Google, Stripe (Link) or Polar, until you cancel. You'll see the price and renewal terms before you confirm your purchase. If the price of your subscription goes up, you'll be told the new price and how to cancel at least 7 and no more than 30 days before it applies. For App Store and Google Play subscriptions, Apple or Google sends that notice and asks for your consent where required. Reminders about your subscription are sent by us, the merchant of record, or the app store, depending on where you subscribed. More detail is in our Subscription & Auto-Renewal Terms.

Cancel anytime. There's no retention step and no need to contact us. Cancel where you subscribed:

  • Web or desktop: go to ascended.social/app/settings?tab=subscription and choose Cancel. For Stripe purchases you can also cancel in your Link account at link.com. If you still have a Polar web subscription from before Stripe checkout, cancel it in Settings or from your Polar receipt.
  • iPhone or iPad (Apple): Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Ascended Social → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. More help: support.apple.com/en-us/118428.
  • Android (Google Play): Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Ascended Social → Cancel subscription. More help: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481.

Deleting the app or your Ascended account doesn't cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel it in your store account too.

What happens when you cancel. Cancelling stops all future renewals. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current paid period, and you won't be charged again. This applies wherever you subscribed (web, desktop, Apple or Google).

We don't refund or credit the unused part of a billing period, except where section 8 (your legal rights), section 9 (problems we'll always fix) or section 10 (if we discontinue Ascended) applies.

7. Energy packs#

  • Energy packs are one-time purchases. They don't renew.
  • Energy never expires. Unused energy stays in your account for as long as your account exists.
  • Energy and items have no cash value. Energy is never transferable. Items swap one-for-one only. On iOS and Android, subscriptions and energy packs are sold by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) as in-app purchases, synced by RevenueCat.
  • If a purchase is refunded or charged back, we may remove the energy it granted from your account. We'll never take your energy balance below zero.
  • If you delete your account, or we close it for a serious breach of our Terms of Service, any unused energy is forfeited, subject to applicable law.

8. Your legal rights#

Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that can't be waived by contract. For example:

(a) EU, EEA and UK: 14-day right of withdrawal. If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you can usually withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason.

  • Energy packs: you lose the right of withdrawal only if, before buying, you ticked the checkbox confirming that you want your energy delivered immediately and that you acknowledge you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery starts, and we or Polar then confirmed this to you by email. If you weren't shown that checkbox, didn't tick it, or didn't get the confirmation, you keep your 14-day right for that energy pack.
  • Subscriptions: if you ticked the checkbox asking for your subscription to start immediately and then withdraw within the 14 days, you'll get a refund minus a proportionate amount for the service provided up to the time you told us you were withdrawing.
  • How to withdraw: send a clear statement to the company that sold you the purchase — Polar ([email protected]), Link support at link.com, or to us ([email protected]). For App Store or Google Play purchases, you can also use Apple's or Google's refund process. You can use the EU model withdrawal form, but you don't have to. Where a "Withdraw from contract" function is shown in your account or on the checkout pages, you can use that too.

(b) Faulty or missing digital content or services. In the EU, EEA and UK, if what you bought isn't supplied, or doesn't work as described, you're entitled to have it supplied or fixed, and in some cases to a price reduction or a refund. UK consumers also have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

(c) Everywhere else. If the law where you live gives you rights that can't be excluded, such as the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, this policy doesn't limit them.

9. Problems we'll always fix#

Contact us, whatever the rules above say, if:

  • your subscription or energy pack wasn't delivered to your account, or didn't work because of a problem on our side;
  • you were charged twice for the same purchase; or
  • a charge was unauthorized (you didn't make it or allow it).

We'll fix it, for example by restoring your access or adding the missing energy. If we can't fix it, we or the platform will refund the charge. For Google Play purchases after Google's 48-hour window, refunds follow section 4, but we'll still fix delivery problems. For unauthorized Apple or Google charges, please report them to Apple or Google as well. You keep any chargeback rights your card issuer gives you, but please contact us or Polar first so we can sort it out quickly.

10. If we discontinue Ascended#

If we stop offering Ascended Social, we'll refund, pro rata, any prepaid subscription time you haven't used and any unused paid energy, through the platform where you paid.

11. Contact us#

Email [email protected]. We aim to reply within 3 business days. To help us help you, please include:

  • the email address on your Ascended account;
  • where you bought (Apple, Google Play, or web/desktop);
  • your order or receipt number (Apple order ID, Google "GPA." number, or Polar order ID);
  • the date and amount; and
  • what happened and what you'd like us to do.
