Two ways to browse
Trending balances a piece of content’s engagement with its age. Popular emphasizes the engagement it has accumulated. Neither mode is a personalized recommendation score.
PUBLIC DISCOVERY · HUMAN COMMUNITY
Pendulums is Ascended Social’s public browsing surface for content that people are creating, discussing, and gathering around. Choose a ranking lens, add a facet, and explore what is eligible to be seen—without turning a public catalog into a personalized profile of you.
Public page, public catalog. Sign in only when you want access to signed-in visibility and block protections.
THE RANKING LENS
Pendulums uses server-owned rules that can be explained in plain language. It never claims that a single score captures the meaning of a Flow, and it does not make your private activity part of a public ranking.
Trending balances a piece of content’s engagement with its age. Popular emphasizes the engagement it has accumulated. Neither mode is a personalized recommendation score.
Narrow the public catalog by content type, chakra, mood, intention, or creator-provided flow tags. The available facets are explicit in the request and echoed in the result.
The server filters before it ranks: public visibility, publish/readiness state, copyright-removal state, flags, and public event status all matter. A high score cannot make ineligible content appear.
Engagement is tempered by age, so recent activity can rise while older content has to keep earning attention.
Engagement is the main signal. This is the view for content with a durable response from the community.
EXPLORE WITH INTENTION
Browse the whole eligible catalog or make the question narrower. Pendulums supports content type, chakra, mood, and intention filters. Posts may also carry optional flow tags: creator-provided labels that can be edited by the creator and used as discovery facets.
VISIBILITY & TRUST
Pendulums starts with eligibility, then applies ranking. It does not surface private content, followers-only content to a guest, flagged or copyright-removed content, unpublished books, unready videos, or private events.
Changing content visibility changes where it can be discovered. Deleting content removes it from future discovery responses; cached results can naturally age out.
Ranking is not moderation. Use in-product reporting for content that violates the Community Guidelines. Flags and removal states are respected before a result is returned.
Human Community mode is deterministic and human-signal-only: it does not need AI-generated ranking text. AI-assisted discovery and moderation are separate capabilities and may behave differently by mode, policy, or device.
